Being Single

The immediately mentionable aspects of being single would be

  • The amazing feeling of freedom that one has
  • The sickening pitying/sympathizing attitude that other people adopt towards a someone who is single, assuming that the person is single because of a lack of something and it being beyond their mental capacity to think that it can be possible to be single by choice
  • Once one has enough self confidence to ignore the annoying nature of the above aspect, it becomes fun to play along at conversations with such people
  • The freedom to wake up and not have to speak to anyone for sometime (ok this one is borrowed from Chasing the Good Life : Being Single, a collection of essays I finished recently. )

I can go on, but the point I want to make here is that if you are single by choice, AND you have the self discipline to keep yourself in line regarding some things, there's nothing like it. 🙂
